Xote

Xote is a Brazillian style of music and dance. It originated from the Scottish polka, which was brought to Brazil by the colonisers, which was adapted by slaves. It features accordion, triangle and drum, but other instruments are often incorporated in different regions of Brazil. Composer Luiz Gonzaga was one of the most popular xote artists.
